Jumbo Mountain is located in the Purcell Range of British Columbia -- the birthplace of heli-skiing. The Purcells feature the best climate, mountains and glaciers for skiing and snowboarding in North America and possibly the world. Their abundant, dry snow, mild climate, elevation, and good weather, especially when compared to the Rockies have attracted an international heli-skiing clientele for decades.
