Overturning the Minister’s Decision

Despite a flurry of construction activity through to the fall of 2014, on June 18, 2015 the Minister of the Environment ruled that the Jumbo Glacier Resort project had not been substantially started pursuant to British Columbia’s Environmental Assessment Act and therefore it’s Environmental Certificate had expired.

The project proponent, Glacier Resorts Ltd., is disputing that decision on the basis that it was made with incomplete and incorrect information and has filed a petition to the Supreme Court of British Columbia. Here is the petition:
